One of the best lessons that I have learned is that there isn’t a 100% foolproof way to do anything in life – especially when it comes to success.
The more you look for the exact steps to take to become successful, the more success eludes you.
The truth is that the journey you are on is unique to YOU. Yes, you can learn from a coach, a mentor, and others who have gone before you. But in order to attain the goal, dream, and desire that God has placed on your heart, you can’t do what somebody else did.
Let’s be honest – the real reason what any of us so desperately want a step-by-step, foolproof way to success is because we want to avoid pain that comes with mistakes and failures.
Mistakes, failures, feeling embarrassed, having a regret or two . . . it’s all a part of the human experience. And it’s all a part of YOUR experience.
Avoiding mistakes won’t make you a better or happier person.
Forgiving those mistakes, overcoming those failures, picking yourself up after you’ve fallen down – these are the experiences that grows your faith, makes you wiser, and leads to more happiness.
So, instead of looking for the foolproof way to success, learn what you can from others. But allow your unique path to unfold just the way it needs to so that you can become the person who not only succeeds, but can maintain and grow that success. And you can only do that through your unique path!
