Pain is real. But so is hope.

Pain is real. But so is hope.

We all have days where we feel drained, exhausted, unappreciated and angry. We begin to look around, take inventory, and ask ourselves “how the hell did I end up here? Is this IT?” 😳

If you’ve ever asked yourself this question, raise your hand. 🙋🏽

It is in this moment where you have to make a decision. 🤔 Do you decide to settle in where you are and accept that this is IT? Or do you grab tightly to your hope, press forward, believing that better days ahead – even though you’ve been “pressing forward” for 6 . . . 9 . . . 12 months.

Hope is easy to hold on to in the beginning. But when you have been doing the work, praying, and believing and your situation is still the same after months of trying . . . HOPE begins to lose its “hopefulness.”

I have been there. Done that. Got the t-shirt. 👚

How do you keep holding on and keep pressing forward when you can’t see the light at the end of the tunnel? When your present circumstances don’t match your dreams and vision?

You choose to keep going.

I found myself in this same exact position. I was disappointed. I was angry. And I was tired.

With hot tears streaming down my face, I made the decision to keep pressing.

It wasn’t easy to keep pressing and to keep hoping. My brain kept telling me that it was complete insanity 😜 to keep going after my dreams when my dreams aren’t any closer today than they were yesterday.

But I wouldn’t be who I am today or where I am today if I chose to just accept things as they were.

Nobody ever promised me that this journey would be easy. It can be outright painful, frustrating, and difficult. But what I can promise you is that it’s worth it.

It’s worth it to look back and say “I made it.”

It’s worth it to look at your new reality and say “the struggle was real, but the rewards are worth it.”

It’s worth it to look back and know that because of you, your children (and people who you don’t know who looks up to you) – they all have hope. They all have been encouraged by your persistence and by your accomplishment.

It’s worth it.

My words to you are: hold tight to your hopes. Don’t settle. Keep pressing. You can make it. You will make it. The reward is greater than the pain!
