There is power in your story

One of the most amazing things that I learned when I wrote my book is that there were so many other women who had gone through or are going through the same things that I have.

Before I wrote my book, Engineering Faith, I was certain that I was only one of a handful of people who had experienced the rejection, heartbreak, and disappointment that I had experienced. But when I started telling my story, I realized that although we may have different names and different hairstyles, we are all the same.

We all have issues.

We all have struggles.

But not enough of us have victories.

Not enough of us are sharing our success stories of how we overcame homelessness, addiction, depression, infidelity, cancer, and heartbreak.

Ultimately, this is why I am so transparent in my book, in my emails, and in my blogs.

I want you to know that you are not alone.

I want you to know that I have been where you are.

And I want you to know that you have hope and success is possible, no matter the situation.

THIS is why I share my story.

Even the bible encourages us as women (and men) to share our stories. To pass along our wisdom and experiences to others so that they don’t make the same mistakes (Titus chapter 2). Therefore, it is our responsibility to pass along to our daughters, sisters, and sister-friends our stories, our lessons learned, our wisdom gained. For every one person you think won’t listen to you, there is another person who will. And if you never open your mouth or put pen to paper, her life will never be impacted by your experience and wisdom you have to share. . .

Who have you shared your story with lately?

Is there someone in your circle of influence you need to reach out to and just share an encouraging word or a word of wisdom?

Are you ready to go beyond that and share your wisdom, experiences, and lessons with people all over?

If you are ready to share your story, click here to learn how I can help you do just that. I am offering a free class to help you decide if writing a book is right for you. Join me here (https://shericaamatthews.com/writeabook).

Until next time . . .
