Yesterday, I cried. This is an important declaration for many people to make because we spend so much time pretending that we don’t hurt. Life can get hard sometimes. Sometimes you feel lonely. Sometimes you desire companionship. Sometimes you just crave a mental, physical, and spiritual connection with someone of the opposite sex. And if truth be told, no matter how great of a single life you have, we all have moments. We all have moments where we feel emotional.
Someone asked me what do you do when you feel this way. How do you make these feelings go away. And how long will it take?
# 1: Allow yourself to feel those feelings. Don’t deny yourself those moments. Remember that God created you and God created you with feelings. Our feelings can act as a guide to let us know whether or not we’re on the right track or to remind us that we are human in need of God. So don’t deny your feelings. Acknowledge them. Feel them, no matter how painful it may be.
Weeping endures for a night. But joy always come in the morning.
